To the southeast of Long Lake and across 90th Street, is a lowland and swampy area that for many years has been neglected. But this area has a name and was originally known as Beaver Pond.
At an early time in American history, beavers had dammed the area near
Long Lake and created the large pond. With a little help from the beavers maybe this pond could return to its larger self – Who Knows?
